The trip is cancelled on the last moment. The reason I had to cancel the trip is a practical one. The person who was going to take care of my dog Zorro was forced to cancel her commitment. And that was just a few weeks before I was suppose to start. I did my best to find another dogwatch and finally when there was only one week left I wrote all local media in Uppsala, TV and different local newspapers and explained the situation. One newspaper picked it up and placed a big article with a picture from Zorro and me. And they had as a title that I was looking for a dogwatch. The newspapper was suppose to come out on the day I would be leaving but it came out a days later. So then the readers only had 2 days left to respond. The deadline was saturday night. This is because I could wait one more day, max 2 days but no more. I have to be back in time to start working again and this meant that I simple could not wait any longer. I had to make a decision and cancelled it all on saturday night. It was a difficult decision since I have been working on it for more then 16 months and then it is really frustrating that you have to cancel it because of a practical reason like a dogwatch. But that's life. And the good thing is that at least one of the organisations did get allot of attention. And a Dutch TV station even decided to make a whole TV program about them in September, so that's great! This means that it has not been for nothing! Knowing that makes it easier to let go and go on with life.

I just want to say thank you to some companies and private persons. Because without there help I would not have been able to organise this! First of all I want to thank the company Ecodor! They made this website for me in less then 24 hours!!! For free! And I kept coming back to them with new idea's and they always added those new idea's and options to the website within a day! Robin Kanters and his crew from Ecodor Europe did a amazing job! And they also have send me my recumbent to Sweden! I also want to say thank you to Brooks saddles in the UK. They are one of the oldest ( read most experienced....) saddle makers in the world. I got my saddle for only half the price! I also want to thank AGU rain and bike clothes. They where willing to support me with clothes, and also a few other companies like biologic, they sold me the Iphone holder for half the price as a sponsoring. And more companies who you can read about on this website. And of course I want to thank Sidhart Mohandas for making such a fantastic promo video. ( on top of this page) And Robbert and Jannie Varekamp who drove a few hundred km to pick up my recumbent and bring it to Ecodor so they could transport it to me in Sweden. And Mariska Springer-Koenders who made this fantastic logo! There are more people involved but it becomes a whole book if I mention them all.

On the right side of this page you can see the bank information from both organisations. With that info your able to book over money to them from whatever country in the world. So you don't have to support them via me, you can support them directly via the account. nrs as mentioned. I know some people promised me that they would make over money to those organisations anyway. I'm happy and thankful for that! Because I did this all in support for them, not myself. So please fee encouraged to give them directly on their own bank accounts! And just for the record mention 'BikingTheo' as a reference. That way we can see how much money came in via bikingtheo. Although I don't think I will organize something like this again, I will come up with other creative ways to support organisations like NjoyDiving and Heart4Children.
